My 5 favorite books on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and sleep.

I love a good book. I read dozens of books on pregnancy, childbirth, and baby care when I was pregnant with my first child. Dozens. Most were not worth my time. I want to save you the time and frustration (and money).

Here are the books I return to again and again for information, comfort, and support on my own journey in motherhood and in support of those I care for. These books are by the true experts in the fields of pregnancy, childbirth, infant care and breastfeeding. There are thousands of books on these topics and many good ones, but the ones here were recommended to me by midwives, lactation consultants, doulas, and experts as being the most supportive and evidence-based.
